Marcelo Rodrigues, originally from Rio de Janeiro-Brazil, started performing body piercings in 1993. His love of 80's punk and metal and his interest in South American traditional native piercings, leading him to be the first professional piercer in Rio de Janeiro and one of the pioneers in body piercing in Latin America. After visiting multiple cities in US during the 90's, he moved to US to then work at the best shops in San Francisco and Los Angeles: Soul Patch, Rose Golds, Body Manipulations and Ancient Adornments. While in the Bay Area working as a piercer, he also worked at Intrinsic Body, refining his skills in making body jewelry. His last move in California would be to Los Angeles where he was working as jeweler and goldsmith at the world-renowned jewelry company BVLA.
Marcelo enjoys performing everything from a simple earlobe piercing to more complex ear projects and large gauge piercings; always keeping in mind to listen to the client's needs, ideas and expectations.
Marcelo is now enjoying what the East Coast has to offer. Piercing at Infinite allows him to hone his craft even further while also allowing time for his three kitties, riding motorcycles and playing guitar.
