What personal information do we collect?
When you place an order through the Site, we ask for your name, telephone number, email address, and shipping address. We also request certain financial information, such as your credit card type, number, and its expiration date. Our payment processor—that credit card issuers require to have sufficient security—stores and processes your credit card or other payment information using industry-standard security measures. By making a purchase through the Site, you give us consent to use and provide your financial information as we consider necessary to process your transaction.
How do you use the personal information you collect?
We use this information to process online transactions, to respond to inquiries, and to send emails about the site, studio, news, products, and/or updates.
If you decide you don’t want to receive email or other mail from us, you can select the “opt out” provision in our communications to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing will stop you from receiving most types of communication, but it may not apply to emails about orders or transactions, or account questions.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). We may also use Device Information for the purpose of advertising, including retargeting.
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Shopify to power our online store--you can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy. We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site--you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.
You can opt out of targeted advertising by updating your preferences at the advertisers websites and/or within the apps. For example:
- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads
- Google: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/anonymous
Additionally, you can opt out of some of these services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal at: http://optout.aboutads.info/.
What other information do we collect?
We may directly collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools and services, to help measure traffic and usage trends for the Site. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages you visit and other information. We collect and use this information in aggregate from such that it cannot reasonably be manipulated to identify any particular individual user.
Log file information
Log file information is automatically reported by your browser or mobile device each time you access the Site. When you use our Service, our servers automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include anonymous information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, referring/exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the Service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.
When you visit the Service, we may send one or more cookies—a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters—to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets Infinite Body Piercing, Inc. help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. A cookie may also convey information to us about how you use the Site (e.g. the pages you view, the links you click, and other actions you take on the Service), and allow us to track your usage of the Site over time. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s directions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the Service may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.
