Born in Los Angeles and raised in Central California, Marina has spent her time in pursuit of community, creative joy, and any opportunity to learn that she could get her hands on. She found a strong sense of belonging in the piercing community and is so excited to be a part of the team at Infinite!
Growing up Cuban, Marina is fluent in Spanish and English, and feels so grateful to connect with her community in her piercing practice. Some of her favorite work to do includes conch piercings, nipple piercings, working with unique anatomy, any large gauge piercing, kids first piercings, and truly anything you’re excited about. Marina is incredibly passionate about working with an informed consent driven approach, and loves to be part of folks’ journey to being more comfortable within their own skin. Piercing can be silly, serious, fun, nerve wracking, and so powerful—sometimes all at once!—and she loves to hold the space for all of it.
Marina completed her apprenticeship in Boston, MA with Brian Moeller and Joe Juliano, who now own and operate Thistle Piercing in Salem, MA. While working as a piercing apprentice, Marina simultaneously completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience at Northeastern University, and though she is incredibly passionate about the neuroscience field, she found her true happy place in the body piercing community. Forever excited to continue learning and growing in her life and career, Marina is so grateful for the opportunity to be in Philadelphia and so excited to work with you!
Outside of piercing, Marina spends her time exploring the outdoors, gardening, working on sewing projects, cooking for her friends, adding to her collections (talk to her about uranium glass and old Pyrex dishware any day), and spending time with her dog, Xena. She also drives a 1984 Volvo 240 wagon and loves to talk car opinions. Next time you’re in the studio come say hi and chat about plans for your next piercing with her!
