Sacoon Yetter

Sacoon Yetter

Sacoon grew up as a dancer in Pennsylvania. Her background offered a mind-body connection that was vital in defining herself. After many years of dealing with chronic health issues, she had to step away from her dance career in 2016. She has had a lifelong affinity for all forms of body art, so she turned to the ritual practice of body modification to sustain this connection. She completed her piercing apprenticeship in 2018 and pierced in Philadelphia for two years.

Sacoon craved more education, practice, and community so she moved to Nashville Tennessee in 2020 to work at Icon Tattoo & Body Piercing. Working for Ian Bishop, a piercer with over 20 years experience, she strengthened her skills and found her people. Sacoon furthered her education at the 2021 Annual Association of Professional Piercers Conference.

While managing Icon’s Murfreesboro studio, she was able to craft an environment for queer folks in the South where they felt truly safe and free to discover themselves. After three years at Icon, walking away from her newfound purpose was extremely difficult, but family, friends, and Philadelphia beckoned her to come home.

Now, she is elated to be a part of the infinite staff where the purpose of creating a safe space for piercing lives on. Sacoon loves doing ear curations, paired facial piercings, and working on unique anatomy! Outside of the studio, she focuses on her husband, Mitch, her health, and her zoo of three dogs and a cat.
