Banana T-Shirt

A homage to the classic cover of the first Velvet Underground album, designed by Andy Warhol, the iconic banana is printed large on the front, with the shop name and “Philadelphia” appearing in script on the bottom. “Pierce quickly and See” is the fine print, with the shop logo, address, and a (modified) quote from the VU song “I’ll Be Your Mirror” on the back, left shoulder. Printed on American Apparel #6401 sheer summer shirts, this is a thinner, longer and more fitted shirt. (2X and 3X shirts are the slightly thicker American Apparel 2001 shirts.) Black shirts have a “distressed” print made using a discharge ink process, and white shirts are printed with a water-based ink for a softer feel.
