Flanagan died in 1996 from complications around cystic fibrosis, and in this series of interviews he recounts his battle with the disease through his writing and performance, detailing his sexual practices and his extraordinary relationship with long-term partner and Mistress, photographer Sheree Rose. Bob’s work often dealt with the concepts of reward and punishment, and BDSM (including temporary and permanent body modification) played a central role.
